How To Support Us

January 5, 2010 by Faith in Families

DONATIONS

If the present system deals with society’s problems largely by ignoring fund-amentals and what really matters most to people like family strength and faith and, when we rediscover that, things will change. They are the ones that as children, we put into institutions and end up ostracizing them. And then, we wonder why they turn out the way they do.

Our Foundation needs financial supporters and donors as partners who will give of their time and money. This is not a case of making the poor richer at the expense of making the rich poorer. Your partnership, financial participation and commitment, however big or small, will be employed to address opportunities and needs of those among our own in New Zealand.

This is the exchange we are now asking all our potential donors to seriously consider – that when you begin and continue to support us, you will see change happen. A change that looks into enhancing the capabilities of a broad and diverse set of community-focused organisations in whose own hands rest un-tapped potentials for providing a safe place and quality of life that all New Zealanders can enjoy.

Here are three ways you can help us help others.

1. Gift Giving Through Direct Debit Authority

A convenient way of giving a regular stream of amounts of choice is by ac-complishing a simple Direct Debit Authority form arranged through your own bank. You need not mail this form to us. Once you fill in your details and sign this form, your bank will arrange to set up these regular payments on your behalf for a certain period of time you choose. These forms will require you to identify our Foundation’s bank details, as follows:

Account Name: Faith in Families Foundation
Bank Name: ASB Bank (Botany Town Centre Branch)
Branch Address: Ground Floor, Botany Town Centre

Bank Account: 12-3233-0567992-50

2. Gift Giving Through Online Direct Credit Payments

If you wish to make just a one-off donation instead, you can access your own online banking account for this purpose without bothering to fill out a paper form and type in the same bank details as provided above.

Most banks contain additional reference fields on their online direct credit pay-ment web pages. We suggest making use of these fields, if you wish, to mark your name, adding the word ‘donation’, and other information you may want reflected on your statement for tax credit purposes.

3. Gift Giving Through Cheque Payments

A third option allows you to write out a cheque for one amount or any number of post-dated cheques each with the same or different amounts you feel com-fortable with. You can mail these cheques to us using the address supplied below.

HOW MUCH DO I GIVE?

Any amount will always be appreciated. There is no standard amount or yard-stick of measure that our Foundation expects to receive from donors and supporters like you who opt to give. Giving is personal. It is a product of what both your heart and mind tells you to do.

The Foundation, however, suggests that your gift of giving be an amount not less than the equivalent of NZ$ 25.00, at least to cover some of the un-avoidable costs it incurs when processing donations it receives. Nevertheless, if you wish to give more than this amount, we would be most grateful for your acts of generosity and continued support.

Thank you!

I’m excited about the new ap-proach and technology that Faith in Families Foundation is developing today for our grow-ing network of community de-velopment organisation part-ners, clients, practitioners and other providers, ones that will eventually be utilised to em-power Whānau, communities, and others here and overseas.
